Synopsis
CHINGAARI is set in Rangpur, a far and forgotten village in rural India. Lalbatti, a red light den, is the place where night queens crawl out of the dark rooms to make a man’s day.
Basanti [Sushmita Sen] is a prostitute, who sells her body but not her soul. Chandan [Anuj Sawhney] is a postman, who along with letters delivers his heart to Basanti. After nights of lust, Basanti finally finds love.
Bhuvan Panda [Mithun Chakraborty] is a demon trapped in a man’s body. He’s less of a priest, more of a beast. Villagers worship as well as fear him. Wicked as wolf and poisonous as snake, Bhuvan extorts money, sex and power.
The story takes a turn when Bhuvan gets to know that Basanti and Chandan are in love. Bhuvan eliminates Chandan, thus crushing Basanti’s pride. A wounded Basanti declares war…
Salman Khan behind bars – breaking news !!
Posted on 17. Feb, 2006 by musicNmovies.info in Scoops
Salman was sentenced after he allegedly killed two chinkaras, a kind of deer, while shooting for the film Hum Saath Saath Hain in 1998. He was one of the accused — with other actors like Sonali Bendre, Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Neelam and Satish Shah — who participated in the hunting. The others have been acquitted.
This is ridiculous. There were other actors too, but I don’t understand why Salman alone was targeted. How come the others were acquitted while he alone was sentenced? Was it written on the bullet that killed those blackbuck that Salman had fired the shot?
wonders producer-director Ravi Chopra, who is directing Baabul with Salman, Amitabh Bachchan and Rani Mukherji. The film is to be released in June, but Chopra believes it will now be postponed. “I think I will have to push it to a September release,” he says.
Salman has found himself in worse situations in the past. He was sentenced to 17 days imprisonment in late 2002 after he allegedly killed a pavement dweller in a drunken driving case. This is a charge Salman denied, saying he was not driving the car at the time the accident occurred. He is already on bail for that case, currently in progress in the lower courts.
Most critics had written off Salman after the drunken driving case, but his Tere Naam was one of the biggest hits of 2003. 2005 also saw him reign at the box office, with hits like No Entry, Maine Pyaar Kyon Kiya, and Lucky, among others. The actor is working on close to a dozen films in 2006 and 2007, and an amount of Rs 150 crore rides on him in the market. His big upcoming projects include Jaan-e-man, God Tussi Great Ho, Salaam-E-Ishq and his first Hollywood venture, Marigold.

Not really… HOLIDAY could’ve been one enjoyable joy ride. Instead, it turns out to be a bland experience thanks to an ineffectual plot and the sluggish pace at which the story unfolds.
Agreed, the dance form has rarely been witnessed on Indian screen and Bollywood aficionados would relish the two Salsa numbers. But barring a scene or two that linger in your memory, the story otherwise is too simplistic, the screenplay lacks ample dramatic moments to keep you hooked and the execution is quite basic.
Synopsis
HOLIDAY begins with Dr. Daksh Suri [Gulshan Grover] arriving in Goa for a month-long vacation. Accompanying Dr. Suri is his wife Nandini [Anahita Uberoi] and their two daughters, Samara [Nauheed Cyrusi] and Muskaan [Onjolee Nair]. While Samara is an extrovert, Muskaan is exactly her opposite. She prefers to be in a shell.
Muskaan bumps into a group of dance professionals [Dino Morea, Alyssa/Kashmira Shah] who perform in the hotel. She also gets to know that Alyssa is pregnant and the guy responsible for it is the hotel owner’s flirtatious kin [Sanjit Bedi], who has now befriended Samara.
Muskaan decides to step in as Alyssa’s replacement when she resolves to go for an abortion. But Muskaan is completely clueless when it comes to dancing, more so about Salsa. Dino decides to train her and in the process not only do the two find comfort in each other’s arms, but Muskaan also discovers her strengths.
HOLIDAY is not just DIRTY DANCING but also JASSI JAISI KOI NAHIN. If the basic plot has been borrowed from the Hollywood hit, the characterization of the female protagonist bears a striking semblance to the immensely popular TV serial, about a girl-next-door discovering self esteem and confidence.

Mix UNFAITHFUL and INDECENT PROPOSAL, add a dash of Bollywood masala, shake it, stir it and the plot of AKSAR is ready. Yet, despite the inspirations, it must be noted that the plot of the film does seems inventive.
Synopsis
Ricky [Emraan Hashmi] is a leading fashion photographer, who carries his heart on his sleeve. He’s an absolute womanizer. The film begins with Ricky getting a call from Sheena [Udita Goswami], who asks him to meet her in a gym. Once there, the two have a showdown since Ricky had used and dumped Sheena’s friend Nisha [Tara Sharma]. A heartbroken Nisha had even contemplated attempting suicide.
Three years later, Ricky is about to hold an exhibition of his creations, when a millionaire walks in and buys the entire lot even before the exposition has begun. The millionaire, Rajveer aka Raj [Dino Morea], has a pre-condition: Ricky should make Raj’s wife Sheena fall in love with him [Ricky]. Ricky is perplexed, for he fails to understand why a husband would hire someone to have an affair with his wife. But Raj explains that he wants Sheena to divorce him and this would be possible only when she falls in love with another man.
Ricky flies to London — that’s where Raj and Sheena live in a splendid mansion — and starts playing his cards. Sheena detests the presence of Ricky at first, but the hatred transforms into love gradually.
The plan seems to be working perfect. Raj catches Ricky and Sheena red-handed, but instead of regretting her decision, she hits back at Raj: If he can have extra-marital affairs, so can she. Raj is stunned, he feels his game plan has gone kaput.
Realizing that Sheena wouldn’t divorce him, Raj turns to Ricky, tells him to pack his bags and return to India. But now Ricky does a somersault. He’s enjoying using a rich woman and staying in the lap of luxury. Raj is stunned again. It’s a clear case of double crossing…
Sholay unEdited
Posted on 03. Feb, 2006 by musicNmovies.info in Broadband, Exclusives
Recently Sahara One channel telecasted new show called ‘NG Takes’, which show scenes from blockbusters that you never came across on the final edited version of the full-length movies. On the pilot episode itself they served some of the UNedited scences from sholay, which were later chopped out in editing room.
The first scene was deleted from the original film. The scene is an extension of that scene when actor Sachin (who almost qualified for a child artist then) in shown leaving the Rampur village and heading towards the city to get work. While the scene in the movie was edited at the point when Sachin is presented before Gabbar Singh (Amjad Khan), the complete scene shows Gabbar commanding the feeble Sachin to rub his nose on the ground in front of him and on his own will. When Sachin refuses with self-respect, Gabbar tortures him to death. This outrageous scene framed from the angle of barbecued chicken, was chopped off for the use of some heavy language and gruesome violence, which might appear acceptable today but was much against its times in those days.
The second scene was the concluding scene of the movie that was later changed to a revised climax. This scene shows Thakur (Sanjeev Kumar) killing Gabbar Singh. And this is the only scene when the audiences get to see the strong-hearted Thakur who never shed a tear in the entire movie despite losing everything, bursting into tears on Veeru’s (Dharmendra) shoulders. The censors objected to the scene saying that Thakur (who played a retired police officer in the film) killing Gabbar undermined the rule of law and could adversely influence young minds. So the climax was re-shot showing the police arriving at the last moment and arresting Gabbar.

Chup Chup Ke (2006)
Posted on 01. Feb, 2006 by musicNmovies.info in 2006, Previews
Remember Chupke Chupke a classic comedy starring Big B & Dharamendra in out and out social comedy. Following the same trend yet another laughter riot –
Chup Chup Ke comes from the director Priyadarshan (Hera-Pheri, Hungama ).
Priyadarshan continues the genre that guarantees him success in Bollywood – comedy. And that’s quite evident from the promos of the film that have a peppy feel to it.
