Shakalaka Boom Boom is currenty burning TV screens with hot bodes of two hunks (Bobby, Upen) and two hot babes (Celina & Kangana). SLBB is not a campus or a bubblegum romance as the title may suggest. The story based upon current on going war between nations biggest stars – Shah Rukh Khan & Amitabh Bachchan. In order to paint that story they have used music industry as their backdrop canvas though. It is based on conflicts, trauma and the power game involved in the functioning of the music industry, which is largely inspired from actual bollywood trends.

Mourning time is well gone, though we still await for some magic in todays Bermuda Vs. Bangadesh match but only some abra ka dabra (or some big bookie) could get back team India. One excitement ends, other begins its life entertainment cycle. 10 Grammy awards winner, pop sensation – Shakira has already landed up in mumbai to rock the city whole night today, sunday 25 March 2007.

East meets West themes has been tackled since Manoj Kumar’s Purab Aur Pachim till Subash Ghai’s Pardes, well add one more – Namaste London. Romantic story about our desi hunk Akshay Kumar wooing V-desi girl – Katrina. Namaste London cannot be though categorized only as Leibes film. The canvas widens as the story progresses, the Big Brother racism issuse is once again ignited, the widening generation gap among NRI’s and many more social issues are tauted.

Rani Mukerji, Kajol and the rest of the A-list actresses are no better than Mallika Sherawat. And Madam Mallika, who says she has a huge superiority complex, is only a glorified (perhaps better-looking) version of item girl Rakhi Sawant.

And the best part? We think Sawant is far more entertaining and honest than all of these actresses put together.

It’s said beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder, so its upon every moviegeor to dechiper Ram Gopal Verma’s latest outing – Nishabd. Ironically, Nishabd means wordless but the movie is verbose enough. Loosely inspired from Lolita, an unusual intimate relationship between a 60 year old man and a 18 year old girl is definitely going to be the talk of the town in coming days.
