Where was this side of Emraan hiding, after stupid role and sloppy acting in Good Boy Bad Boy, Emraan Hashmi, finally shows his powerful acting in Awarapan. Even his foes won’t be able to resist from loving him in this movie. Believe me, he has gave up everything he has been doing since his debut – No smooches, No naughty looks, No double meaning lines, No awkward dancing in Hawaiian shirts, he leaves all those behind and plays a stone cold assassin, who has lost his love and has no more lust for life.

Mark my words, With Awarapan, Emraan has put his name forth for critic’s best actor award next year with an inevitable crowd of fans showering over him.

As mentioned in our preview, Apne have almost everything to make it one big hit of the year. I was thrilled to watch much more than what I had expected. Apne in one sentence is Karan Johar’s love & relationship (brotherhood & paternal, not extra marital tough) saga without any of those cheesy lines and (OVER) candy floss look. Ohh.. yes plus professional real life boxing.
To see Dharamji, the original He Man of Bollywood, in the boxing ring was worth much more than cost of ticket.

Well, after pretty disappointing Bollywood half yearly report, we take a look into more crappy (??) movies that will be releasing in latter half part of this year. Last year (2006), Bollywood had 4 blockbusters and numerous hits & super hits, while this year Bollywood is still yearning for one super hit.

2006 was great year for Bollywood, almost every big and different movie was able to garner both greens and critical acclaim. Rang De Basanti, Dhoom 2, Lage Raho Munnabhai, Phir Hera Pheri, Krrish and Gangster were all different kind of movies but registered success in the box office. Unfortunately, we can’t say the same this year, at least looking last six months. In spite of big banners, technically superior, huge star cast the movie couldn’t make it big at box office due to lack of strong and gripping script.

Well, had just finished covering Rani-Adi engagement, got another scoop from the tinsel town regarding the hottest love couple – John & Bipasha. It’s known fact by now, that John & Bipasha had been having problem in their relationship since Salaam-E-Ishq (2007). The media just ignited the on-going chemistry between on screen pair Vidya Balan & John. How they were perceived as cheese and chalk, but outcome was like fire on ice.
