Ex-Miss Universe is quite happy and thrilled. The reason, of course, is her upcoming film ‘Blue’. Well it all started like this. Initially when Lara Dutta was offered a role in ‘Blue’ she was quite apprehensive about signing the dotted line. It was for obvious reasons that Lara held back – she did not know to swim.So how come she is a part of the film now, you my ask. Thanks to her co-star Akshay Kumar. This guy who yearns for doing something out of the ordinary persuaded Lara just by a phone call.

Though Deepika is a new gal in the industry, she is giving tough fight to the established stars of Bollywood. After endorsing some popular products like Pepsi, Fiama Di Wills and Parachute oil, she is all set to associate with another brand. Deepika is going to endorse Wrigley’s sugar-free chewing gum Orbit.

The never ending fight of Shahrukh Khan and Aamir Khan has taken another avatar.Aamir after declining following success and not believing in the number game tagged Amitabh Bachchan as the real ‘King’ of Bollywood considering Big B’s some notable work in the past which very rare can do.Aamir on asking how does he feel on acquiring the new title of ‘King Khan’ by succeeding Shahrukh Khan, he said that he never placed SRK in the position of King and also he cannot think of kicking him from the pedestal as SRK never deserved that great position and Big B is the one who be worthy to be called the the real King of Bollywood.

Just till few months back, the satellite rights of a film even if it was a major dud at the box office would fetch handsome revenues for its makers.A hit film would fetch anywhere between Rs. 12-18 crore from the channels.A flop film starring big names and produced by big banners too would fetch anywhere between Rs. 7 to 8 crore.Akshay Kumar who had a rollicking time at the box office in 2007-08 was in an enviable position in comparison to his contemporaries as his films would fetch on an average Rs. 13-15 crore.His 2008’s super hit Singh Is Kinng was reportedly sold for Rs. 15 crore.But with the ongoing recession and one super flop – Chandni Chowk To China, the tables have turned up on Akki. Imran and Ranbir wont host together again

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan’s intimate scene in Mani Ratnam’s ‘Raavan’ may be an added advantage of the film but the director chose to edit it as the issue is very sensitive and it may hurt the sentiment of the religious people.
