Supermodels Padma Lakshmi and Lakshmi Menon have beaten Indian beauties Aishwarya Rai and Freida Pinto in a most desirable women poll conducted by a portal.Padma Lakshmi has grabbed the 15th position in top 99 women poll leaving behind former Miss World and actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Ash stands in 63rd position while Slumdog Millionaire star Frieda Pinto holds the 50th position. Menon stands at 45th position.

Filmmaker Deepa Mehta desired to work with Vidya Balan and had plans of casting her in a comic-venture paired opposite R. Madhavan two years ago. However, due to some reasons, the plan didn’t work out. She now wants to work with Vidya on the adaptation of Salman Rushdie’s book, ‘Midnight’s Children’.Vidya even liked the script as well the role a lot. But, another catch has come up. Deepa wants Vidya to play Rani Mukherji’s sister in the film. And that is exactly where the problem lies because neither of two actresses wants to work with the other.

Kareena Kapoor is no more size zero. After ‘Tashan’, she has put on some weight but her Saiffu dear is not happy with her present size and wanted her to lose some weight. Saif Ali Khan had the feeling that Kareena is looking bit healthy now-a-days which is not good for her. He realized this while performing for an award function. Both were rehearsing for the show but when Saif completed his portion and came down stage and watched out Kareena’s performance, he realized that she is overweight. He conveyed the same to Kareena and she became very conscious hearing Saif’s verdict.
