Akshay Kumar’s express fondness for Katrina Kaif, and vice versa, has been rather well documented in assorted periodicals. Recently, the mediavine buzzed with the news of a verbal spat between Kat and co producer Akshay Kumar of ‘Tees Maar Khan’ over the actress’ refusal to shoot a music video with Akki for the flick!

As per sources, the dates that AK demanded had already been allotted to the Yash Raj Films banner flick, starring Imran Khan and her. And Kat made it clear that YRF was an important enough banner for her and that she wouldn’t be able to shuffle dates for ‘TMK’. However, director Farah Khan is reported to have stepped in and smoothened out the date imbroglio satisfactorily.

Adds the insider, “Farah is angling for a Christmas Day release this year and Akshay was clear that he wanted this music video to be shot first, before Katrina busied herself with her other films. Matters between Akshay and Katrina had soured to such an extent that they had stopped talking to each other. At this point, Farah stepped in because she she was all set to film a ‘quawwali’ with Salman Khan in Mumbai, and Farah didn’t want the cold vibes between Akshay and Kat to spoil the shoot. She spoke to Katrina, who managed to speak to YRF and has got permission to shoot the title video track of the film on October 15, 2010, which has the entire star cast. At the end of the day, Kat is very fond of Akshay and will not allow anything to spoil relations between them.”
