Katrina: It’s not my place to patch things between Salman & SRK

Katrina Kaif, who is working with Shah Rukh and Salman Khan in different projects says its not her responsibility to facilitate a patch up between the warring Khans, after their friendly relations soured following a showdown at her birthday bash few years ago.

Katrina will be working with both Salman and SRK under Yash Raj Films banner. The film with Salman is titled, Ek Tha Tiger, a romantic thriller, directed by Kabir Khan of New York fame. The film will be released in 2012. While Shah Rukh will romance Katrina in an untitled film, to be directed by veteran filmmaker Yash Chopra, who is making a comeback to direction after seven years.

He last directed Veer Zaara in 2004. “They both are my co-stars for different films and at the end of the day we go to our respective houses. It (their enmity) does not have any impact on me. And I am glad that I am working with two senior…respected professionals in the industry. I think they can handle whatever their equation is between them. I am not common between the two,” Katrina said in an interview.

When asked would she like to play a role in patch up between the two Khans, Katrina said, “It is hardly my place. I don’t think it is my responsibility.” The friendship between King Khan and ‘Dabangg’ Salman came to an abrupt end after an ugly spat at Katrina’s birthday in 2008. Since then, Salman and Shahrukh have been at odds. Salman has even gone to the extent of saying that he and Shah Rukh cannot be friends. Though SRK has thrown hints that he wants to reconcile with Salman, the latter seems to have ruled out that possibility.
