The trailer of Agneepath has received positive response from all corners and so has Hrithik Roshan’s look as Vijay Dinanath Chauhan. However, you may be shocked to know that Hrithik almost declined the offer to do the movie!

But, after he heard the script and the plot of the remake, he just could not say no. Hrithik Roshan is quoted as saying: “When this project (Agneepath) came to me and Karan Malhotra (director) flew down to Spain for the narration, I felt bad because I had already made up my mind. I don’t do remakes, and I wasn’t going to do this one.”

Hrithik added: “However, within the first ten minutes, Karan had me stumped! The concept was fresh, the setting brilliant, and the plot extra ordinary. I’m glad I did this film.”

When you re-play an iconic character, comparisons with the original one are bound to happen; Hrithik Roshan said that though comparisons are inevitable, he did not try to imitate the original act.

“I had no reference point for Agneepath. I disconnected from the film I had seen as a boy, and treated this movie as a fresh script,” Hrithik Roshan said.

Well, Hrithik, we hope you impress us so much with your performance as Vijay Dinanath Chauhan that we too get stumped and disconnected from the original Agneepath!
