It is true that even in the days of the three greats- Dilip Kumar, Raj Kapoor and Dev Anand, there used to be camps, loyalists and lobbies, but then the competition used to be healthy. The industry used to be above all that and united. On his 90th birthday last month, the thespian Dilip Kumar recollected how he, the late Raj Kapoor and Dev Anand used to talk a lot to each other and the channels of communications never broke, even when some differences cropped up.

Shahrukh Slapped Farah Khan’s hubby at Sanjay Dutt’s Party

Those who’re following Shirish Kunder on the popular micro-blogging site would opine that his tweets against RA.One would irk Shah Rukh Khan.

At the same time, those who disagree would be quick to point out that if the actor can take digs at others, then he should have a sense of humour to accept jibes directed at him too.

In the early hours of Sunday post the filmfare awards, the actor-producer retaliated to the director’s remarks, not verbally, but physically. Yes, it is learnt that SRK slapped and punched Shirish and also commented on the latter’s friendship with his arch rival and foe, Salman Khan.

2012 promises to be bigger & better

2012 promises to be bigger & better

What an eventful year 2011 was. So many hits/successes in a single year are a rarity. Plus, five films joining the 100 cr club in one year itself [READY, BODYGUARD, SINGHAM, RA.ONE and DON 2]… Waah! Mazaa aa gaya!

2012 promises to be an exciting, action-packed year as well. The year sets in motion with a biggie [PLAYERS] and is expected to wrap up with another biggie [DABANGG 2; Christmas 2012 release]. In between, there’s a plethora of big-budget and keenly anticipated films that should keep the optimism alive. I am often asked at the end of every year, which film/s in the ensuing year has the potential to strike gold at the ticket window and my answer remains static, let’s not pin hopes on merely a couple of films. Did anyone expect NO ONE KILLED JESSICA, TANU WEDS MANU, F.A.L.T.U., HAUNTED, RAGINI MMS, PYAAR KA PUNCHNAMA, DELHI BELLY, MURDER 2 and THE DIRTY PICTURE to strike gold for their investors?
