This incident had nothing to do with customs duty. Remember the impromptu kiss that Shilpa had shared with Hollywood star Richard Gere? An obscenity charge had been filed against her and a court in Rajasthan’s Alwar had issued a look-out notice disallowing her from travelling outside India. But little did the officials know that Shilpa’s name had been cleared by the Supreme Court and hence, the moment she was supposed to embark on a Berlin-bound flight to star in a musical (Miss Bollywood) on September 26, 2007, immigration officials zeroed in on her. It took a lot of convincing to close the matter.

After creating raves with ‘Munni Badnaam Hui’, the makers of Dabangg 2 are now gearing up for another item song in the sequel. But, this time Kareena Kapoor will take over from Malliaka Arora Khan to do some latkas-jhatkas.

Kareena, who sizzled on a remix ‘Yeh Mera Dil Pyar Ka Deewana’ in Don, would get to tap her foot on some rustic song in Dabangg 2. Buzz has it that Salman shot down the proposal of remixing an old cabaret and made the music composer Sajid-Wajid compose a new track that will make Kareena look like a dream.

Bollywood actor Salman Khan, who underwent a surgery to treat a nerve condition that has been causing extreme pain in his cheeks and jaw, got operated and is doing fine, said a source.

“Yes, the surgery took place late last night and Salman is fine now. He has just been advised complete bed rest for a few days after which he can start working,” a source close to the actor said

Director Madhur Bhandarkar’s blame against Aishwarya Rai Bachchan for hiding her pregnancy did not go well with father-in-law and superstar Amitabh Bachchan. He spoke in defense of Ash and said that the claim of the director having a financial lose of 18 crore is totally untrue. Talking to Mumbai Mirror last evening, Deepika however decided to keep certain things about her a secret still. “I don’t wish to reveal my surname. You can understand why. But yes, Ragini MMS is inspired by what happened to me one night when I went out with my boyfriend. I was 19 then,” revealed the girl.

Actor Ranbir Kapoor seems to be bumping into Siddharth Mallya all the time. For starters, he dated Deepika Padukone, who was first a model for the Kingfisher calendar. Siddharth Mallya, the son of liquor baron Vijay Mallya who owns the ‘Kingfisher’ franchise back home, now allegedly dates Deepika, Ranbir’s ex-girlfriend.
