Partner (2007) Movie Review – true blue David Dhawan Film, Superb Laughterthon !

Posted on 21. Jul, 2007 by musicNmovies.info in 2007, Reviews

Mark my words; – Partner will be one of the biggest BLOCKBUSTER of 2007.

After Mujhse Shaadi Karoge and Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya hit fiddles, David Dhawan comes back with yet another bang with Partner.
How could a movie which is frame to frame copy of Will Smith’s - Hitch be much more entertaining than the original?
Partner defies all the Bollywood logics and will finally end the box-office draught. Fuse your logic brain, wear your mad caps and definitely bring along your partner to roar like Gabbar !

Partner is undoubtedly till date, David Dhawan’s best !

Awarapan (2007) Movie Review – Gangster in love, Emraan v.2.0

Posted on 29. Jun, 2007 by musicNmovies.info in 2007, Reviews

Where was this side of Emraan hiding, after stupid role and sloppy acting in Good Boy Bad Boy, Emraan Hashmi, finally shows his powerful acting in Awarapan. Even his foes won’t be able to resist from loving him in this movie. Believe me, he has gave up everything he has been doing since his debut – No smooches, No naughty looks, No double meaning lines, No awkward dancing in Hawaiian shirts, he leaves all those behind and plays a stone cold assassin, who has lost his love and has no more lust for life.

Mark my words, With Awarapan, Emraan has put his name forth for critic’s best actor award next year with an inevitable crowd of fans showering over him.

Apne (2007) Movie Review – Dharamji is back !

Posted on 29. Jun, 2007 by musicNmovies.info in 2007, Reviews

As mentioned in our preview, Apne have almost everything to make it one big hit of the year. I was thrilled to watch much more than what I had expected. Apne in one sentence is Karan Johar’s love & relationship (brotherhood & paternal, not extra marital tough) saga without any of those cheesy lines and (OVER) candy floss look. Ohh.. yes plus professional real life boxing.
To see Dharamji, the original He Man of Bollywood, in the boxing ring was worth much more than cost of ticket.

Jhoom Barabar Jhoom (2007) Movie Review – a dumb musical !

Posted on 15. Jun, 2007 by musicNmovies.info in 2007, Reviews

After nice Saathiya, pretty dumb but blockbuster Bunty Aur Babli, Shaad Ali ’s third inning – Jhoom Barabar Jhoom has nothing new to offer. With every movie, director seems to grow, but in case of Shaad it’s only the star cast and the canvas of the movie which grows. There is absolutely nothing interesting in the movie except those peppy numbers and dangling hot bodes.

The quadrangle love story lacks the zeal.

Oh dear! GOD

Why the hell is Mr. Bachchan there in the first place?

Shootout at Lokhandwala portrays the dark world that exists within the tinsel city of which denizens are unaware of, the atrocities and life behind this darkness. Director Apoorva Lakhia has captured the bloodshed and violence of 1991 Lokhandwala shootout in the true sense. If you are the one who can’t stand gore and downpour of bullets, then this movie is not your cup of tea, else it might get into your collection library.
