Deepavali saw mega budget releases in Bollywood with Om Shanti Om and Saawariya. But closer home in Tollywood, there haven’t been any huge releases. We have had just one release on Deepavali and that is Tarun’s Nava Vasantam. Incidentally, the film is the remake of Tarun’s earlier film Punnagai Desam in Tamil. The film was a hit there and after a three year gap, one gets to see it with Tarun playing the lead yet again in this film based on friendship.Unlike the Hindi films, this one is a relatively low budget, family film with a heart-touching storyline

Anbulla Rajinikanth is a 1984 Tamil film directed by K.Natraj.The film stars Rajinikanth, Ambika and Meena, with Jaishankar, Raadhika and Bhagyaraj in guest roles.The story of this movie revolves around Rosy (Meena), a wheelchair bound cancer patient, who lives in an orphanage along with other orphans.She is very rude and uncaring towards anyone.She even illtreats the head of the orphanage (Ambika).

Students (2004) is the Tamil dubbing of the Malayalam film 4 the people directed by Jayaraj, starring Bharath, Gopika and Narain.The movie had some slight alterations to the original malayalm version.This music was composed by Jassie Gift.This movie had lot of talented debutants and was one of the finest & successful movies of the year.The movie was dubbed into Telugu as Yuvasena- 4.The People and was commercially successful in Tollywood.

Chennai Kadhal
With his innocent looks, everyone thought that he could not play professional killer to good extent. But, Mahesh proved his critics wrong once again in this action drama. Though movie started as a pure action oriented, it slowly goes towards family drama. With few hiccups which are quite natural in mainstream cinema, Athadu is a must watch for Mahesh’ performance, good music and lavish production values. Kudos to Mahesh.
