Bommarillu’ is the best thing that has happened to Telugu cinema, gasping under the miasma of mediocrity. Bommarillu is the best example of perfect casting. The excellent chemistry between the lead pair, the solid support by the supporting cast, music that meshes well with the mood of the movie, especially the background score. And last but not the least is the fabulous camera work of Vijay Chakravarthy. .
Cast: Siddardha, Genelia, Prakash Raj, Kota, Jayasudha, Sunil
Siddu (Siddardha) has everything in life, but in excess amounts. His father (Prakash Raj) decides on what is good for Siddu. He selects the girl of his choice to Siddardha. That is when Siddu meet the girl Hasini (Genelia) he has waited all his life for. Now he has a complex situation. First he need to propose to Hasini and win her over. Then convince his over-obsessive father. Then make Hasini’s father accept him. Then break the engagement. And so on!The entire film revolves and runs around these three characters. The performances of all the three are topnotch. Siddhardh gives a settled and matured performance in the film. This film goes to prove that there is none to replace Siddhardh, when it comes to soft romantic and candyfloss type of films. Prakash Raj on the other hand, seasoned veteran that he is, has easily slipped into the character of father very admirably and has given a nonchalant performance. The performance of Genelia will be talked about in the days to come. The amazing act of hers has floored everybody. Just when, everybody was righting her off, she comes up with a truly startling and fantastic performance. The performances of these three overshadows and dominates the entire proceedings, leaving all the others way behind.

Chennai Kadhal
With his innocent looks, everyone thought that he could not play professional killer to good extent. But, Mahesh proved his critics wrong once again in this action drama. Though movie started as a pure action oriented, it slowly goes towards family drama. With few hiccups which are quite natural in mainstream cinema, Athadu is a must watch for Mahesh’ performance, good music and lavish production values. Kudos to Mahesh.
