Kantri is a 2008 film starring Jr. NTR, Hansika Motwani,Tanisha Mukherjee, and Prakash Raj.The film is directed by Meher Ramesh,who is a protege of Puri Jagannadh.The movie is produced by the prestigious Vyjayanthi Movies banner,being produced by C.Ashwini Dutt.The music of the film was launched on March 29,2008 and the film was released on May 9,2008.

The opening scenes give you an indication of how the movie is going to shape up.NRI Krishna returns to his village with his wife and child to work for the upliftment of the village folk.However,when the family along with his old father is on its way home with the money,fellow villager PR backstabs, kills all and runs away with the money leaving his wife and son behind.

With his innocent looks, everyone thought that he could not play professional killer to good extent. But, Mahesh proved his critics wrong once again in this action drama. Though movie started as a pure action oriented, it slowly goes towards family drama. With few hiccups which are quite natural in mainstream cinema, Athadu is a must watch for Mahesh’ performance, good music and lavish production values. Kudos to Mahesh.
