Rakhi Sawant and controversy go hand in hand. There isn’t a single month in this year where some scandal didn’t happen concerning her- outrageous talk in Kandy floss, then skimpy clothes dance in delhi followed by notorious Mikka Kiss scandal and once again to fulfill this month quota she got herself into trouble.

It was some 30 years ago when theater turned into temple. People used to take off their shoes before entring the cinema hall, there used to be aartis, lighting agarbattis, pujas and breaking of coconuts on the theater floor. Sounds strange ?
But its true.
The cinema hall was running Jai Santoshi Maa (1975). So much was the influence of the movie, people used to visit the movie as a holy ritual, and till today the movie conisdered as one of the biggest blockbuster in Indian Cinema. Skip 26 years, comes the remake of the classic - Jai Santoshi Maa (2006).

How Rani got break in KKHH
Very few people know this. Now that she’s successful, I can take credit for it. I spotted Rani in the promo of her first film Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat and recommended her to Karan (Johar) for Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. Karan, however, was trying to rope in Twinkle Khanna for the role of Tina. But since Twinkle was being launched as a full-fledged heroine in Rajkumar Santoshi’s Barsaat, she rightly didn’t want to do a second lead role. To compound matters, Saif Ali Khan and Chandrachur Singh refused the role Salman Khan did. Karan was quite desperate. I insisted that he at least meet her and when he did, he wasn’t impressed. He wanted someone taller and Western looking.

Biography is a pretty dauting task to portray, specially about a star who had whole industry go gaga when alive and had haunting sad isloated demise. Woh Lamhe is a tribute to bollywood goddess, Late. Parveen Babi, a chapter from her life seen through Mahest Bhatt eyes (incidently not directed by him, but his nephew Mohit Suri). A film like WOH LAMHE… is very difficult to make. It’s not one of those love stories where lovers meet, separate and reunite in the end. Watch WOH LAMHE… not for any other reason but to carry home a sad segment of a popular star’s life, a glamour queen who called the shots in the 1970s and early 1980s. It’s a lump in the throat experience!

Kajol and I have had too many years of togetherness. There’s just too much love. Too much buddiness. I don’t see her very often these days though. She comes home once in a while and brightens up the surroundings. The whole house is in disarray. She shouts, screams and leaves such an impact that it takes a while to recover from it, emotionally (love-wise, happiness-wise, screaming-wise, news-wise and gossip-wise). When she goes away, we await her next visit. Like the Haley’s comet, she’s a regular. She returns brightly like a comet with a lot of spectacle.
SRK on his ladies: Juhi - Best comic timing

Juhi is my bestest friend. If I were to personify the 15-16 years that I’ve spent in the industry, it would be personified by two people and Juhi would be one of them. To me, she’s the closest person in the industry. Her family is like my family. I can’t do without meeting her. I enjoy her work. I enjoyed working with her. And I say to date that she’s one actor I could never outdo. Her comic timing is impeccable, her expressions are beautiful. And again she has huge talent backed by conscientiousness and hard work. Of course, sometimes she can be too finicky and stuck up on detail which can bug you.
