Squashing all speculation over his spat with Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan on late on Sunday made it clear that they are no longer friends. “We’ve had problems earlier but this time I don’t think we can sort them out. We are two different people. Our values and way of thinking are different,” he said ruling out all possibilities of a patch up.
“Shah Rukh and I are two different individuals with different perspectives. I used to like him a lot but things have changed now. We do not see eye to eye now,” he said at the sets of his newly launched film Veer at Mehboob studios.
However, he said, it was wrong to label their “fight as a war, as being depicted in a section of the media. I do not see why so much hype should be given to it.”
This is for the first time that Salman has spoken about his much-hyped recent fight with SRK at the birthday party of his actress-girlfriend Katrina Kaif at Mumbai’s popular nightspot Olive.
“I don’t think we can be friends. I think it’s better to declare that then put up a facade of being friends and back-biting each other,” Salman said.
The two Khans had reportedly gotten into a verbal duel after downing a couple of drinks. Salman had reportedly asked Shah Rukh to make a special appearance in his forthcoming film Mr and Mrs Khanna, which Shah Rukh turned down.
