Maharathi is an upcoming Bollywood film starring Paresh Rawal, Neha Dhupia and Naseeruddin Shah in the lead roles featuring Om Puri, Boman Irani and Tara Sharma in supporting roles.Produced by Dhilin Mehta and directed by Shivam Nair, the film is Based on Paresh Rawal’s most acclaimed play.So How do you murder a man who has already committed suicide is the main theme of this movie.The project is expected to release on 5th December 2008 under the banner of Shri Ashtavinayak Cine Visions.

Dev D is a 2008 Romantic Drama film written and directed Anurag Kashyap as a modern day take on Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay’s classic novel Devdas.Though Devdas has been adapted on screen many times and by some illustrious filmmakers like P.C.Barua and Bimal Roy DEV D will still appear as fresh and riveting a tale of love lost and self-destruction.The film was conceived by Abhay Deol, and then worked upon by Kashyap.United Television (UTV) Motion pictures started a production arm called UTV Spot Boy to make small to medium budget films. Dev D is the first film to be made by this company.The film is expected to be released on 9th Jan. 2009.

Directed and written by Saurabh Kabra, who debuts as a director with EMI stars Sanjay Dutt, Urmila Matondkar, Malaika Arora Khan, Aashish Chowdhry, Arjun Rampal, Neha Oberoi, Natasha Suri, Manoj Joshi, Dayashankar Pandey, Pushkar Jog and Kulbhushan Kharbanda.With this film Malaika Arora Khan, wife of Arbaaz Khan, who appeared in myriad Hindi films, but only as a dancer will for the first time ever appear as a full-fledged heroine.EMI has Music by Chirantan Bhatt and Lyrics by Sarim Momin and Hamza Farokhi.Presented by Balaji Motion Pictures Ltd and produced by Actor Suniel Shetty’s Popcorn Motion Pictures Pvt Ltd EMI is all set to hit the screens on 7th November.
