Michael Shawn Hickenbottom, (born July 22, 1965), is an American professional wrestler, better known by his ring name, “The Heartbreak Kid” Shawn Michaels. He is one of the longest-tenured wrestlers of World Wrestling Entertainment, having worked for the company in varying capacities since 1987. His in-ring career was thought to be ended by a severe back injury in early 1998, but he returned to the ring in 2002 after a four year hiatus. Michaels currently wrestles on the RAW brand of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), where he is a member of D-Generation X along with Triple H.
