Cricket Classics: 1985 Sarjah India Vs. Pakistan

Superbowl season is heating up, so is our world cup cricket 2007 fever. Mercury is rising day by day. After searching on net for a while, I stumbled upon one of the classic cricket match - 1985 Sarjah Match. In 1998 Coca-cola Cup our master blaster Tendulker created a desert strom, but this match was well before that in 1985. The match was war between Imran Khan Vs. Little Master - Sunil Gavaskar.

This is one of the most memorable classic match played ever on the Sarjah ground. Pakistan, bolwling first limited India for 125 all out. Inspite of strong players like Azharuddin, Gavaskar, Kapil Dev, Shastri, etc none were spared from fresh Pakistan’s captain Imran Khan, who took 6 wickets in 10 overs for just 14 runs. It was a sure shot cake walk win for Pakistan with such legendary palyers - Imran, Wasim, Salim, Javed, Rahim. But cricket sometimes shows miracles, India won the game with 38 runs, Pakistan was limited to just 89 runs.
