The United States Champion Shelton Benjamin would have his hands full tonight as he would battle on with Jeff Hardy. In the non-title bout, Jeff went to the corner ropes but Shelton ran and jumped up to attack him. Jeff shoved Shelton off then went for a Swanton, with Shelton rolling out of harm’s way. Shelton went for a pinfall with Jeff nearly escaping before a commercial break.

The match continued and Shelton was able to exploit a leg injury to hobble Jeff Hardy. Shelton also had an impressive counter from the corner as Jeff went for a swining dropkick using the ropes. Shelton was able to get up and catch Jeff on his shoulder, then did a running slam to the mat, but again couldn’t capture a pinfall. This match was really a great match between these two WWE superstars.

Jeff got up and pushed Shelton away as he tried for his finisher, then hit a Twist of Fate. Jeff got up on the corner and hit the Swanton finally, but as he was about to get up, MVP rushed into the ring and kicked Jeff in the head, causing a disqualification. MVP posed over Hardy with his gold necklace in hand before exiting the ring.

We are taken backstage where Vickie is still holding the black rose. Chavo is telling her that she is the one who reinstated him (Chavo is implying that the Undertaker is responsible). Curt Hawkins then interrupts and ask them if they have seen Zack Ryder because he can’t find him anywhere. Vickie then tells him if he has checked the parking lot, Hawkins leaves as that seems to be the only place he has not looked.
