Anubhav (Sanjay Suri), Antara (Shruthi Seth) and Aadi (Anoop Menon) are the hot stars of the Bombay theatre academy who dreams about big Bollywood. But soon reality strikes that those dreams are not so easy to be true. Anubhav during his struggle period meets Meera (Gul Panag) who enthusiastically admits that she is his big fan. Both of them fall in love and get’s married with Meera’s rich parents’ wishes. Now, the theatre guru Ibrahim Vakil (Jackie Shroff) becomes their sole supporter.
Cast: Sanjay Suri, Gul Panag, Jackie Shroff
In the mean time Aadi arranges a producer for his movie which is supposed to be an adaptation of famous Shakespearean play, Hamlet. Anubhav , the star cast of the movie, the main lead gets stuck midway owing to an untimely demise of their producer.Meera runs into some pregnancy complications in the meanwhile, that leads to an extra ordinary turn of fortunes for Anubhav. Anubhav is turned to a gigolo who trades his body to sex hungry woman in return of money due to all such problems. He imagines his clients to be characters in a movie, till he gets to a point when he cannot differentiate whether he is a gigolo, an actor or an ordinary man, while he solicits them.Even in present days, such things do happen and thus making the basic theme of the movie really interesting. As soon as the situation arises and Anubhav turns a male prostitute, the movie loses its track. You also lose the care for the characters and are unable to relate to them.Another melodramatic angle hits forcibly in about Anubhav’s new born daughter’s illness and how Gul Panag thinking their daughter is dead. Moreover, what were the creators thinking while providing the lines of narrating sex worker experiences to Sanjay Suri? Simply cringe worthy. We do agree that the movie is a real life sequence but there was not a great need to be so direct.
