Avtaar (1983)

Avtaar is one of the 80’s critically acclaim movie directed by Mohan Kumar who has made several successful films.Avtaar not only was a huge commercial hit, but it is a film that was very highly reviewed. It is unfortunate that Rajesh Khanna had to miss out on the Best Actor award to another great acting performance of 1983, Naseeruddin Shah for Masoom.Avtaar in my opinion was one of the three best films of 1983 and is a must see, specially for Rajesh Khanna fans.

Zulm Ki Hukumat (1992)

This film rocks. It is possibly the best Indian remake of the Godfather and I believe that Mr. Ram Gopal Verma’s Sarkar is a copy of this film.It has fantastic performances by Govinda, Dharmendra, and all others. The film opens with an introduction to our characters and then shapes up pretty good.

Cast: Dharmendra, Moushumi Chatterjee, Govinda

Milan (1994)

Directed by Mahesh Bhatt and produced by Mukesh Duggal, this movie is a love story starring Jackie Shroff and Manisha Koirala.A nice movie with nice story and background score.Anand Milind composes the music of the film with lyrics by Sameer. The song “Kahin to Milegi…” still skips the heart a bit when heard.Nice direction and acting by lead pairs, the movie went wrong somewhere for which it didn’t appeal to the masses. This is one among the finest performances of Manisha Koirala till date.

Cast: Jackie Shroff, Manisha Koirala, Paresh Rawal
