Baton Baton Mein is a 1979 film produced and directed by Basu Chatterjee. This light-hearted comedy has a lovely story that isn’t your run of the mile bollywood over dramatised romeo & juliet style love story. The film itself is simple and unfortunately it shows. The film’s catchy music is by Rajesh Roshan.
Cast: Amol Palekar, Tina Munim, G. Asrani
Anamika (1973) is a Hindi movie made in India and directed by Raghunath Jalani. It is a romantic, suspense film with memorable songs by composer R.D. Burman and lyricist Majrooh Sultanpuri, such as “Meri Bheegi Bheegi Si” sung by Kishore Kumar and “Bahon Mein Chale Aao” sung by Lata Mangeshkar. This film is unrelated to the 2008 film Anamika starring Dino Morea.
Agar Tum Na Hote is a 1983 Indian Bollywood film directed by Lekh Tandon. The film stars Rajesh Khanna, Rekha and Raj Babbar in leading roles. The story/plot is also most uncommon in comparison to the main stream films of that era. Overall I judge this film as one of the Rajesh Khanna Standard films of Golden Era.
Avtaar is one of the 80’s critically acclaim movie directed by Mohan Kumar who has made several successful films.Avtaar not only was a huge commercial hit, but it is a film that was very highly reviewed. It is unfortunate that Rajesh Khanna had to miss out on the Best Actor award to another great acting performance of 1983, Naseeruddin Shah for Masoom.Avtaar in my opinion was one of the three best films of 1983 and is a must see, specially for Rajesh Khanna fans.
This is an another classic film of Rajesh Khanna with the same director, Mr. Mohan Kumar after all time classic Avataar. But the most significant fact is to watch in this film, the classic performance of Mr. Khanna in a completely different way of characterization that no body can say that this is the same old man of Avataar. This ‘otherness’ can only be seen in Rajesh Khanna so far as Indian movies are concerned. It is so because his way of expressing a character just comes directly through heart, which makes every character natural and life like.
