Years ago, a popular TV series MALGUDI DAYS left an indelible impression on the minds of viewers. Now Shyam Benegal’s WELCOME TO SAJJANPUR takes you back to a hamlet that has its share of assorted characters: a letter writer, a power-hungry goon, a eunuch, a short tempered army man and his widowed daughter-in-law, a compounder, a house wife who’s husband, working in Mumbai, hasn’t showed up for four Diwalis…These are characters you’ve seen, witnessed, might even relate to.
So it turns out for the crazy comedy by Anees Bazmee , the man who directed Welcome and No Entry.Bazmee’s over-the-top comedies are known to have a blatant disregard for sense, style and subtlety.‘Singh Is Kinng’ is no different. With its many contrived twists and turns – and not to forget its outlandish characters – the movie doesn’t ask you to use your brain, nor does it proclaim to have one itself. It is a film that doesn’t take itself seriously and it tries every recipe in the book of entertainment to give you laughs worth your money spent.
With the number of so called comedy flicks being made at a random pace , here comes yet another one starring Tusshar Kapoor after ‘One Two Three’.This time around debutant Sachin Yadri fuses in the entire bandwagon of Ekta Kapoor’s ‘Balaji Telefilms’ and why not when the soap queen is the producer of this film.

Like a fluctuating stock market, the graph of Saas Bahu Aur Sensex moves up and down before reaching the predictable climax. It’s unlikely to think of saas or bahu being interested in anything but idiot box, gossip, grapevine and back-biting.But in this movie, directed by Shona Urvashi, the ladies indulge in – apart from the aforesaid activities – some serious share trading with the help of a straight-talking and soft-hearted stock broker (an endearing Farooq Sheikh).Contrary to the adage, he turns out to be the man behind the women’s success.
Love life, enjoy life and live a whole life to think of only four letters to the central Raffoo Chakkar.Pappu (Aslam Khan) and Munnu (Yudhishtir), the Prime Minister known as a very rich brothers.Milli (Nauheed Cyrusi) and Julie (Nisha Rawal), the sisters are known as the MJ of society’s upper crust. All of them believe in order to fulfil their lives and enjoy not interested in marriage. But it is incredible. When they are married forced to flee their homes.
