It is certainly not the best of Priyadarshan. But Bhagam Bhaag still makes for an entertaining watch. The film’s crazy plot, filled with comic chaos and confusion, is its main USP.On top of it, Akshay Kumar shows his impeccable flair for comedy. The basic formula of ‘Bhagam Bhag’ is the same as any other Priyadarshan movie. The story’s central characters try to outsmart each other, but wind up in a situation where they are hunted by a number of other over-the-top characters. There are mistaken identities, a murder, an underhand plot, chaos and commotion.
Cast: Akshay Kumar, Govinda, Jackie Shroff, Lara Dutta
Reshma and Shera love each other in the midst of a violent feudal conflict between their clans. When their families find out about their relationship, Chotu, Shera’s sharp shooting kid brother carries out his father’s orders to kill Reshma’s father and her recently married brother.Unable to bear the grief of the widowed bride (Raakhee), Shera kills his own father believing he actually pulled the trigger.
Here comes yet another slapstick comedy filled with madcap characters in search of hidden diamonds. Sangeeth Sivan’s movie Apna Sapna Money Money is a corny, crowded entertainer that banks majorly on crass and crude humour.Wit is not something you should expect from a movie like ‘Money Money’. The comedy in the movie is juvenile and at times even childish. Yet there are some sequences that turn out to be immensely entertaining. These sequences mostly come from Ritesh Deshmukh , the young star with a very natural flair for comedy.
Tawaif is a Bollywood movie released in 1985. It was produced by B.R. Chopra and directed by Aleem Mansoor. It mainly is a film about a tawaif or a courtesan. This movie is among Bollywood’s underrated films which won Filmfare awards in 1986 for Best Dialogue Writer Dr. Rahi Masoom Reza and Best Story Writer Aleem Masroor.Rishi Kapoor delivers a good performance, Poonam is alright, kader Khan is good in a brief role, but Rati stole the show.I rate this film highly as it has a little comedy, Family drama, emotions and romance.
Dil Chahta Hai is a 2001 first film written and directed by Farhan Akhtar, it is set in modern-day urban Mumbai and focuses on a major period of transition in the lives of three young friends. The film was critically acclaimed, winning that year’s National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Hindi. It was also a commercial success, though it performed better in the urban areas of the country compared to the rural areas, which was attributed by critics to the city-oriented lifestyle depicted in the movie in which all the characters are, without exception, from rich or upper-middle-class families.
