In a highly-competitive encounter, both Edge and Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler pushed themselves to their very limits. In the end, The Rated-R Superstar prevailed when he blasted Ziggler with a mid-air Spear to earn a position on Team SmackDown at WWE Bragging Rights.
We will have complete results for all WWE Hell in a Cell 2010 pay-per-view matches starting at 8 p.m. ET on Sunday, October 3. The card features three big matches including Randy Orton defending the WWE Championship against Sheamus, Kane defending his World Heavyweight Championship against The Undertaker, and John Cena putting his allegiance to the WWE on the line against Wade Barrett and the careers of Nexus.
Earlier in the evening, Wade Barrett promised to do something unforgettable during Raw’s 900th episode celebration. Consider that a promise kept.As The Undertaker prepared for his battle against Bret Hart, Barrett complained that he deserved the bout. When he tried to prove himself, however, The Deadman summarily dispensed of him.
Apparently, Chris Jericho wasn’t really all that interested in leading Team WWE after all. Why else would he tap out the second John Cena locked him into an STF during their Loser Leaves SummerSlam Team Match? For the self-important Superstar, being free from Cena appeared more important than winning. To his credit, Cena offered to forget the entire episode in an effort to rebuild Team WWE. Selfish as ever, though, Jericho rejected the olive branch and abandoned his teammates.
In order to prove his innocence in the Memorial Day assault of The Undertaker, Jack Swagger revealed dated photos of himself and his dad engaging in several activities throughout the holiday. When The Big Red Monster emerged to attack “The All-American American” anyway, Swagger turned the tide, applying his excruciating ankle lock to the horrific Superstar.
